If you are looking for more active pursuits, you can enjoy a game of croquet in the gardens or stroll down to the marina in Rungsted with its splendid beach, lively boutiques and its leisurely maritime atmosphere.

Golf

Kokkedal Golf Club is located a little more than a tee swing from the castle estate.
The rolling parkland course features 18 holes, a driving range with a ball machine and two putting greens.
Should you wish to try other gold courses we can recommend Rungsted Golf Club, Copenhagen Golf Club and Simons Golf Club.

The golfcourse is open from late April to late September depending on the weather.

 

Trail ride or polo lesson

Enjoy a quiet trail ride at a private, seaside estate or have a go at the Game of Kings – polo. It is a fun and safe experience for the whole family. The calm and well mannered polo horses are easy to ride – even for complete beginners. The experienced instructors will get you safely in the saddle and make this a memorable experience.

Royal North Zealand

Kokkedal Castle Copenhagen offers royal experiences in a verdant parkland surrounding. And the castle is a natural part of a region with a long royal history. North Zealand features several historic attractions, including Frederiksborg Castle (the picture) and the countryseat of the Queen of Denmark, Fredensborg Palace.

Kokkedal Castle Copenhagen is also located close to the historic city of Elsinore where you find Kronborg Castle, the fictional home of Shakespeare’s Hamlet – an attraction that enjoys UNESCO World Heritage patronage. Art lovers can visit the collections and exhibitions at the Louisiana Museum of Modern art and the region’s aristocratic manor museums, such as Gammel Holtegaard, Ordrupgaard and Nivaagaard

Rungsted Habour

Just 10 minutes by car or 15-20 by bicycle through the forrest, you will find the beautiful Rungsted Habour.
Here you will find many good restaurants with outdoor serving and a wonderful wibe is found among locals and tourists are found here during the summer season.

Besides restaurants and cafees, the habour also offers boutique shopping.
